Default Samsung BD-P3600 Compatible Streaming Formats?

I recently purchased a Samsung BD-P3600, primarily because of the streaming feature from a PC. What a wonderful player! But I'm quite disapointed with the lack of information provided by Samsung about the compatible file/video formats that the player will accept when streaming from a PC. Luckilly I've managed to successfully connect wirelessly to my PC with limited difficulty other than the somewhat unfriendly firmware.
Anyway, my question is, has anyone seen a definitive list that describes the limits in resolution that you can stream to this player? or the compatible codecs, file formats, frame rates, progressive vs. interlaced, width and height limits, etc.
I've successfully fed it files encoded with XviD codecs, in MPEG4 format, 23.976fps or others, but tried 720p files which I converted with the DivX converter from divx.com and got a message on the player that the format wasn't compatible. I also tried other (lower resolutions with the same converter and they worked fine (well...some did). So far, it's been trial and error.
I would love to convert the HD videos from my camcorder (Canon HV20) to an HD format that I could stream to the player, but haven't succeeded in getting any true HD format to stream.
Too bad the Samsung's support has been less than stellar. My first request for file format details for streaming HD got this reply: "Can output 480i/480p resolution with Blu-ray Disc".
    ...nothing more...seriously!
So I asked again... This time I got: "The BD-ROM format supports three highly advanced video codecs, including AVC, VC-1 and MPEG-2. HD video resolutions are also available: 1920 x 1080 High Definition & 1280 x 720 High Definition".
    Clearly we're having difficulty communicating
Anyway, hopefully someone here has succeeded in converting an HD video into a format that the BD-P3600 can accept (hopefully higher res than 480p).
Thanks for the help. Great forum!

The BD-P3600 manual would be probably the "official" document concerning what is supported. But it looks like nothing in HD resolution can be streamed from the PC Divx is limited to 3.x, 4.x and 5.x, with a max resolution of 720x480@30fps or 720x576@25fps. If the player plays anything other than that, then I guess we should consider ourselves "lucky."

The player supports AVCHD but the manual is vague about how it supports this. I expect it is ONLY on DVD-RW or DVD-R discs. Per the notes in the manual, the USB port seems to support the same stuff you can stream: MP3, JPEG and Divx (.avi or .divx file types).

    Hope that helps.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'll try 720x576 @ 25fps and see if that works. I saw the max resolution you mentioned, in the getting started section under "Disc Format" but I didn't assume (or want to assume) that also applied to streaming too. It certainly isn't very clear in the manual what is supported in the streaming-from-PC mode. One might believe that some form of HD streaming is supported given the mention of it on the Netflix instructions (bottom of page 71).

Netflix HD streaming is supported but that's streaming directly from the internet, not streaming from the PC. Also that's more of a proprietary "black box" in that the underlying format (audio and video codecs used and bandwidth) are hidden from the user.
