Default How to get Resume Play working on Samsung BD - P3600

I recently got a Samsung BD - P3600 player and everything seems to work great except that I cannot figure out how to resume playback after a power on to continue playing the video from where I had last stopped. Any help or pointers are greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! And as for "resume play" not working, welcome to Blu-ray! BD-Java enabled Blu-ray titles cannot be auto-resumed. This is not a problem with the player per se, but with the format. All players work this way. They force you to go back to the beginning every time.

The player should do resume play on non BD-Java Blu-ray Discs and on DVDs though. Unfortunately most titles these days are using BD-Java. What disc is causing you grief?

Some BD-Java titles do include a "marker" or "bookmark" feature which you can usually activate with the green colored button on the remote. So try that before shutting down the player and you'll be able to return to that point when you power back up. But honestly, most of the titles I've tested DO NOT have this feature enabled.

This is one area where Blu-ray is a giant step backward from DVD.

Thanks for a prompt reply. Yeah I agree its a big leap backwards. But with all the other great features in BD-P3600 I guess I can live with it. PC Streaming is one feature I believe I am going to use the most (next to playing Blu Ray discs) and if they can add a 'Remember Connection' update to the firmware it will be a godsend.
