If the pc you want to connect is connect by a cable to the wifi-router, it wont work with auto mode. I have the same problem. Do you have a pc connected by wifi only, no cable ? If so that the one you should try to connect with auto mode.

Yes it is connected by cable from computer to wifi-router.

But I have tried it on manual mode and it still says username/password incorrect.

    Default Firmware 1.03 remember ip/folder/user/password

    "It remembers...
Just updated firmware. Manual search seems to remember entries(IP/folder/username/password) from the last search. Cycled power a couple of times, info still there."
    [/QUOTE]

Does anyone can confirm that with the firmware 1.03 ?

Finaly, to answer my previous post, since a had 15 days left to return the p3600 to FutureShop,
I take the risk and did the update they offer for the firmware 1.03 and I'm glad !

Yes it remember all the setting ip/folder/user/password in manual and also the user/ password in auto mode.

It also accept a username with no password (nothing put in the password line) !!!

In auto mode it prompt you for user/password just the first time you access a pc after it just remember !

I haven't gone back yet to verify that it remembered everything, but what it DID do was find my PC on Auto. That's definitely an improvement.

It appears that there were a lot more changes than the changelog implied (the one I saw only mentioned improved playback for some movies). The menu is different -- Pandora and Netflix are now relegated to a new menu area -- and my player is oddly now recognized by my Toshiba TV as a regza-link device.

My wifi dongle was surrounded by too many electronics equipements.
So I use a usb cable extention for the dongle and put it in
a better place and now I see the pc I wanted to connect to !

Well it appear that the cable extension did not solve the problem...

It's the only problem left to solve for me in auto mode not seeing all my pc.
I have 2 pc always on and sometime the p3600 see one and sometime
the other... I did not find why.

But I will keep the p3600 because I can get around that problem with the manual
    mode.

    2. I have DivX media, MP3 media (inside my iTunes library), H264 HD media and Picture take from my 10Mpixel camera..... my question: Is BD-P3600 capable to streaming all this format and specially for Picture, is capable to start a slideshow with transaction effect and song in background?

Thanks for you answer, but before to get this fantastic BD player i would like to know if i resolve also the problem to stream all my personal media from my mac.

I was interesting to get a PS3 device , that is compatible with Apple MAC device by this product Nullriver Software : Products : MediaLink but if BD-P3600 can all this... i will get it...

Thanks and sorry for my english

I just got the BD-P3600 Sumsung unit (software version 1.03). PC streaming works well with both my iMac and a PC on my wireless network. Have tested photos, MP3 and video. On the Mac, you have to turn on file sharing with the option of file and folder sharing using SMB (windows network compatible). I set up a specific shared folder on the root level of my start-up disk.

To access from the Samsung, I use the manual network search. When asked for the shared folder name, I type in the name of my start-up disk. I then browse the file/folder list until I see the shared folder I set up. Thats it!
