Thanks for all your help with the Star Wars drop outs etc. I haven't had any issues, except that in episodes 5 and 6, there is very little use of the surround back channels. Is this done on purpose. I know the surround back channels are discrete, and used sparingly. I get the sound effects etc. in the prequels and episode 4.(Have not had the chance to fully watch 5 or 6).

    Thanks

Mr Boylan, I have a quick question, trying to fix a cable mess behind my tv that a friend created. I have a sharp ht sb300 sound bar that is currently connected to my television also sharp, this connection allows the tv, wii, and the dvd player to be heard through the sound bar. Now my problem is that the digital satellite box is not being heard through the sound bar, only through the television volume. There is an jack on the back of the digital box that requires a coaxial digital audio cables, and there is also a jack on the sound bar as well for the same plug. My question being...do i need to purchase that cable for my digital box to work through the sound bar as well, would that fix my problem?? Hope you can help me.... Thanks for your time, Frances
  3. Hi, MrBoylan!

I need your help. About two weeks ago I bought a Blu-ray player (Pioneer BDP-320). I read in your review that in order to get "the full quality Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master Audio lossless bitstream to your compatible receiver or preamp/processor select "Dolby Digital 2" and "DTS 2,". My problem is that the player doen not allow me to select DD2 or DTS2. I don't know if I am doing something wrong during the initial setup. Do you have any ideas of what is happening?

    Thank you.

  6. I just wanted to thank you for posting the "Quick start" problem with the Panasonic BD80 player that causes the back channels to reproduce the front channel sound! I have had the machine for about 5 weeks and have been very happy with the upgrade in quality from the BD10 (Except for this issue). Please keep us updated if Panasonic offers a fix for this. Again, Thank you!!
