Help setting up my Home theater

Hi i was wondering if anyone can help me set up my hometheater. i have a Vizio 32 HD, a ps3, and a yamaha 5.1 channel HRT-6130. my yamaha reciever does not send audio through the HDMI. i can get video, but not audio, and do not know how to get the audio through the speakers. any help will be great. thx

You are correct. The Yamaha HTR-6130 does not support Audio over HDMI. You need to hook up the fiberoptic digital output from the PS3 to the receiver in order to get sound from the PS3. And do the same from your satellite or cable set top box in order to get sound from those sources.

If you are using the VIZIO's built-in over the air tuner, then you can hook up the VIZIO TV's fiberoptic output into the receiver to get surround sound from TV shows.
