Though this isn't a life or death issue, I am looking forward to receipt of the Yamaha RX-V765. I am upgrading my entire home system since purchasing a Panasonic 50" plasma TV. I have everything in place except for this receiver.

I ordered the Yamaha RX-V765 from amazon.com back on February 23, 2009. Am still waiting for shipment.

amazon.com states it may take as long as May 12th for me to receive the product.

Neither amazon.com or Yamaha seem to be able to give a more specifc ship date.

Wondering if you have any better idea when they wil be releasing this product to the consumer.

I can live with the inevitable "be patient", I'm just overly anxious to complete this upgrade.

Hi,

Sorry but we don't have any insight on when manufacturers will ship their products to dealers. I know they usually trickle them in with the entry-level models frequently arriving ahead of the higher end pieces (though this seems backwards to me). If it makes you feel any better, we haven't received review samples of any of the '65 models either.

So I guess that means... "be patient."
