Roku 2 XS 1080p Player with Angry Birds - $89.99

By Chris Boylan

Do you have a serious case of TV app envy?  Have you recently purchased a perfectly good HDTV that lacks the new "Smart TV" features like Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon VOD, Pandora and other internet streaming services?  What if you could add all of that to any TV with an HDMI jack for under $100?  You can, with Roku.

And although the Roku boxes are rarely discounted, Amazon currently has the top of the line ROKU 2 XS player, complete with wireless gaming remote and a full version of the Angry Birds game in high definition for just $89.99.  Sure it's only $10 off the regular price, but hey, as Geddy Lee said, "Ten Bucks is Ten Bucks, eh?" Here's the link:

In case you haven't seen a Roku close up, it's a tiny little thing, about the size of a hockey puck, but slightly more square.  But it couldn't be more cool, packing a streaming wallop, with Netflix, Amazon, Hulu Plus, Pandora, HBO Go and dozens of other streaming apps, or "channels" as Roku calls them.  Wireless networking isn't just an option here - it's built in with support for WiFi speeds up to 802.11n (as well as b and g of course).

We're not sure how long this deal will last, but we'd recommend snagging one if you find it in stock at that price.  It is Black Friday weekend, after all (but don't worry - you won't get pepper sprayed for this deal, we promise).
