Monster Unleashes Monster Blaster Boombox, New Elements and ClarityHD Headphones

By Rachel Cericola

Monster is still making beautiful music for the active listener. In fact, the company just announced three different products to help you take that music almost anywhere.

First up is the SuperStar Monster Blaster, a boombox for the 21st century. It boasts a bi-directional driver design with full-range speakers that are angled for 360 degrees of sound. The compact portable even packs in a down-firing powered subwoofer.

Designed to go just about anywhere, the SuperStar Monster Blaster features a waterproof all-weather shell and an integrated handle. It also has Bluetooth with NFC, so it can be easily paired with any of your favorite portables. Other features include PowerBass technology, indoor and outdoor EQ Voicing Profiles, a USB port, a 3.5mm Aux-In, and a 3.5mm microphone level input.

If you want to hoard that sound to yourself, Monster is introducing Elements, a new line of wireless headphones. This model has Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX and Pure Monster Sound for a flexible, awesome listening experience. Each Elements model has three options for listening: wireless, wired, and via PurePath USB audio (a built-in direct full-digital high-quality D-A Converter). Monster has also created two custom sound profiles, so you can adjust your listening for a "Natural" or "Club" experience.

Each model promises up to 24 hours of playtime on a full charge. Other features include on-ear swipe controls, swiveling ear cups, a folding design, and plush memory foam cushions. Each Elements model also has Monster's VoiceThrough and Active Echo Suppression technology. The Elements lineup will launch with over-ear models in rose gold and black slate finishes. Additional colors, as well as lightweight on-ear and in-ear models, will follow later this year.

The last in Monster's new portable collection is the ClarityHD On-Ear Bluetooth model. This is the newest in the ClarityHD lineup, which also includes in-ear wired and wireless headphones. This set works with Bluetooth devices or you can listen to music from wired or USB sources.

Featuring a low-profile modern design and soft ear cushions, this ClarityHD model has an adjustable headband with non-slip silicone and a folding design. Other features include built-in mics and Active Echo Suppression, Monster VoiceThrough technology, and battery power voice prompts. ClarityHD On-Ear Bluetooth headphones are available in black only.

Monster is currently selling the Monster Blaster, with an MSRP of $399.95. ClartyHD On-Ear Bluetooth headphones are also available now, priced at $169.95. The Elements headphone lineup will launch on July 12 with the Over-Ear model, which will sell for $349.95.
