LG's New OLED TV, LED TV, Projectors and More Announced at CES Can Be Pre-Ordered Today

By Rachel Cericola

Every year, we see a ton of super-cool products at CES in Las Vegas. Then, we typically forget about them. That's because most of them don't have pricing or release dates. Some of them never get released at all.

Well, LG Electronics doesn't want you to forget -- or have to wait. So the company is making many of its 2016 products available for pre-order today. These aren't old items that they have clogging up some warehouse, but brand new products that are being announced right on the CES 2016 show floor.

Now, you should know that you won't be able to order every single product that LG is announcing this week, but they do have five to get you started for 2016.

The first is the LG 65E6 4K OLED TV. Because this is an OLED TV, it has self-illuminating (self-emissive) pixels to create bright and colorful images. No backlight is required for those deep rich blacks and richly saturated colors. However, the 65E6 is also a 4K TV with support for high dynamic range (HDR) and Dolby Vision. That means that the TV can deliver even brighter colors and better contrast. It even has the UHDA "Ultra HD Premium" HDR certification to prove it. This model also has the new Picture-On-Glass design, which means that the TV measures just a mere 2.57mm thin with a translucent glass back and powerful speaker system. Other features include LG's Color Prime PRO technology, the new webOS 3.0 Smart TV Platform, and an MSRP of $6,999.99.

If you're looking for something "super" (and slightly more affordable), the 65UH8500 Super UHD TV is also available for pre-order. This model has HDR and Dolby Vision support, Color Prime perks, TruMotion 240Hz technology, Ultra Luminance, and new IPS panels. Of course, it also features access to the newly announced webOS 3.0 Smart TV platform, which has a new zoom-in feature, options for connecting your smartphone to your TV, an upgraded Magic Remote, and more. Right now, just the 65-inch 65UH8500 Super UHD TV is up for pre-order. That model is priced at $2,999.99.

LG is also making one of the Curved UC98 21:9 UltraWide Monitor models up for grabs. This 34-incher boasts extra screen real estate for both work and play. Other features include LG's proprietary picture quality enhancing IPS display technology, a QHD resolution (3440 x 1440 pixels), specific features that make multitasking much easier, and a $1,199 price tag.

Ready to rock? If not, you may want to think about pre-ordering the P5 Portable Bluetooth speaker. As part of LG's Music Flow lineup, this model can connect to other speakers from the series so you can have a whole-house music setup -- all without wires. Other features include Bluetooth wireless streaming, the option to connect two devices to one speaker, and a built-in Li-ion battery that boasts about 15 hours of use on a full charge. Available in black, white, orange, green, and red, the P5 is listed with an MSRP of $99.

If you're looking to take that big picture with you, the PH550 Minibeam projector can deliver almost anywhere -- and with almost any source. This compact $599 projector has both Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, a WiFi mirroring-enabled Screen Share feature, 550 lumens of brightness, and a one-hand grip design. It even has what LG calls "triple wire-free connectivity," which means it doesn't need any wires at all. Instead, there's a rechargeable internal battery that boasts up to 2.5 hours of use.

"CES is the most anticipated consumer technology show of the year, and it's the launchpad for our latest and greatest products," said David VanderWaal, vice president of marketing at LG Electronics USA. "This year, we're bringing that excitement directly to consumers who can buy some of these amazing products before they even hit store shelves."

Although all of the above products are available for pre-order, LG has yet to announce actual release dates.
