Klipsch Upgrades Speaker Series with HD Theater 600 Package

By Rachel Cericola

Some people don't appreciate having to mix and match speakers. Klipsch has been doing it for customers for quite some time, with its HD Theater speaker series. These little packages can offer instant home theater sound for rooms of all sizes, as well as a variety of budgets. Now the company is launching another entry into that successful line, the HD Theater 600.

Promising a new design and an acoustical upgrade, this latest entry into the speaker series boasts big sound in a compact setup. It's an instant 5.1 home theater package, with a total of four satellite speakers, a matching center channel, and a powered subwoofer.

Designed for medium-sized rooms, the HD Theater 600 uses Klipsch's MicroTractrix horn for its .75-inch tweeter to deliver bigger output and better details. Other features on the speakers include improved 2.5-inch long-throw IMG woofers, wall brackets that can be adjusted up to 40 degrees, and 1/4-inch 20-threaded inserts for stand- or wall-mounting. The 8-inch, 100-watt down-firing subwoofer also has a bass-reflex design and options for volume, crossover and phase control.

Available in a high gloss black finish, Klipsch is selling the HD Theater 600 now with an MSRP of $599.99.
