HDTV Sale: Nice Discounts on Panasonic LED TV and 4K UHDTV Models This Week Only

By Rachel Cericola

Not everyone is excited about the warmer weather. We tend to freckle and usually there's no big-screen TV outside. If you're looking for a reason to cling to the indoors, check out the sale that Panasonic is currently hosting.

The manufacturer just announced a slew of discounts on some of the company's newer TVs. Choose from 2D, 3D and even 4K sets, ranging from 50 to 60 inches. Once you find something you like, make sure to use the corresponding discount code that's listed below. Whether you're looking for a gift for Father's Day or maybe even a little something special for yourself, there's certainly plenty of interesting options here.

Just remember: These codes and sale prices are only good on purchases made directly from Panasonic -- and only through June 7, 2014!

Now, on to the actual TVs! We're starting with something truly drool-worthy: a 4K Ultra HD TV! Well, you can stop drooling and start buying. Panasonic is discounting the 58-inch 4K Ultra Life+ Screen AX800 Series HD TV all the way down to $3099.99. That means you can save $700 on this purchase!

The 58-inch TC-58AX800U has a 3840 x 2160 resolution, a built-in camera and Life+Screen features.

Besides the eye-popping 3,840 x 2,160 resolution, this model comes packing Panasonic's 2014 Life+Screen features. This is Panasonic's newest Smart TV platform, promising personalization as well as interaction. For instance, it has a new interface that wants to get to know you and your family's viewing preferences. It even has a built-in camera that can recognize who is turning on the TV and pull up what that person wants to watch. It's not as creepy as it sounds, though. It's actually part of the new my Home Screen and my Stream features. The my Home Screen is what puts all of your favorite items at your fingertips, while my Stream makes recommendations based on your preferences.

Some of the other features on this set include THX 4K certification, 2400 BLS (Back Light Scanning), local dimming, Studio Master Drive color reproduction, the Voice Assistant for easy navigation via speech, and a dual-core Hexa processing engine.

If you're willing to forgo 4K for now, there are two selections from the AS650 Series to consider. Panasonic has marked down the 50-inch TC-50AS650 and the 60-inch TC-60AS650 so you can save $300 and $400, respectively. Announced earlier this year, each of these LED TVs has 3D effects, as well as Panasonic's new Life+Screen features.

Other features on both include access to plenty of Smart TV apps, a web browser, my Home Cloud for downloading content and apps to the TV, and Remote Sharing for exchanging video memos, messages, and other information through the TV. Each one also has a full 1080p HD image, 1500 BLS, a dual-core Hexa processing engine, and Swipe & Share for putting content from a smartphone or tablet up on the TV.

The 50-inch TC-50AS530 doesn't have 4K or 3D, but it does have a 1080p image and Life+Screen features.

If you're more into saving a few bucks than having a 3D TV, the 50-inch TC-50AS530 has a few of the Life+Screen features mentioned above, including the my Home Screen, the apps, the web browser and the Swipe & Share options. It also has a full 1080p HD image. However, the difference here (besides no 3D) is that this set features 240 BLB and a narrow bezel. It's also less expensive -- especially with that discount code.

To score one (or more!) of these discounts, you'll need to make each purchase directly from Panasonic and not another retailer. Also, make sure to use the above codes during your checkout process. You should see the discounted price before your final checkout. Just remember that this sale and the codes are only good through Saturday, June 7, 2014, or whenever Panasonic runs out of stock!
