Emotiva Experience Brings High-End Audio Equipment to Chicago

By Rachel Cericola

Most people and companies don't want you drooling all over their high-end audio equipment. However, Emotiva Audio Corporation isn't just putting that offer out there; the company is making a day of it.

If you're in the Chicago area, mark your calendar for the Emotiva Experience. The free, one-day event will be held at the Chicago Marriott Naperville on Saturday, April 13, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Emotiva wants to give people the chance to check out audiophile equipment and sample some state-of-the-art home theater audio. Expect to see about 1000 pounds of high-end audio and home theater equipment packed into the company's 40-foot trailer.

Event attendees should expect to see a full home theater system set up in one room, with a two-channel audiophile system in another. Other home theater equipment will also be on-hand, in the company's travelling hospitality center, also known as the Emotiva Lounge.

"We may live in an MP3 world, but we're seeing a growing interest in audiophile sound," says Dan Laufman, Emotiva's president and CEO. "That is why we created this customer road show, to help people re-discover the joys of high-end audio and demonstrate how great equipment can transform their listening experience. After all, hearing is believing."

Emotiva says that the free event will also include complimentary food and beverages, knowledgeable staff, and special pricing on select equipment.

If you aren't in the area, the Emotiva Experience may come to your town at some point. The company has plans to be in Boston on June 21, 2013, with other tour dates to be announced soon.
