The XBR75X850E is an LED-lit LCD TV with full 4K Ultra HD resolution (3840x2160 pixels). It includes support for HDR (High Dynamic Range) so you'll get nice dynamic images with rich color reproduction. The panel's native refresh rate is 120 Hz, and Sony's Motionflow XR processing works in conjunction with that to virtually eliminate motion blur.
The set also includes Sony's enhanced 4K HDR Processor X1 which takes even non-HDR HD content to near 4K HDR quality. Sony says that their object-based HDR Remaster technology can detect, analyze and optimize each object in the picture individually to adjust the overall contrast for a more natural and realistic picture on screen. I've seen the feature demonstrated at press events and it works really well to give some extra pop to non-4K content like Blu-ray Discs and broadcast TV.
The set has a wide array of "Smart" features, so you'll be able to stream shows and movies from your favorite streaming provider such as Netflix, Amazon or VUDU.
