This 65-incher can produce eye-popping 4K images. And because it's an OLED TV, it has self-lighting pixels, which can switch on and off automatically to create brighter colors and deeper black levels. This is also one of the TVs with LG's 4-Color Pixel technology, which puts a white sub-pixel into the usual red/green/blue mix. Those perks are probably why CNET's David Katzmaier said that this model has "the best picture quality we've ever tested."
Besides those image features and an immersive curved screen, the 65EG9600 also has a 4K upscaler, 3D support, Harman/Kardon sound, and the new webOS 2.0 smart TV platform. The latter promises improved navigation and more content options -- including 4K ones. And just in case you don't want to take LG's word for it, know that the EG9600 is one of the "Netflix Recommended TV" options, meaning that it has passed the streaming service's evaluation program.
