There are good Black Friday 4K TV deals and then there are good deals on GOOD 4K TVs on Black Friday. You'll see a lot of off-brand TVs on sale this week, but a bad TV at a great price is still a bad TV. Fortunately some of the Black Friday 4K TV deals are on TVs you'd actually want to own, like Sony's 55-inch XBR55X850C 4K Ultra HD Smart TV, which is currently on sale on Amazon for $1198 ($1000 below list price) with free enhanced delivery.

The set is one of Sony's top performers. In addition to its 4K Ultra HD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), the X850C series also includes support for HDR (High Dynamic Range) content. This, combined with the TV's ultra wide color gamut means the TV has the ability to create much more realistic and lifelike images, particularly when it is fed with HDR-capable Ultra HD content. Difficult scenes like stars on an inky black background or a bright streetlight in a dark alley are reproduced extremely well, with excellent shadow detail. Like most high-end Ultra HD TVs, it uses a native 120 Hz panel, but enhances that with Sony's MotionFlow 960 processing for razor sharp moving images and no hint of image blur.
The X850C series is not just a Smart TV. It's actually one of the first Android TVs, so you'll find a wide selection of streaming services and apps on the Sony in Android's new TV app store. Of course, you'll get all the usual suspects also like Netflix, VUDU, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube and Pandora, but you'll also get a selection of games and apps, which is growing over time.
The price is current as of early morning on Black Friday, but Amazon may run out of stock at any time. The price includes enhanced delivery - the delivery folks will take it out of the box and place it on a stand for you. They will also inspect it for any damage and will plug it in to confirm that it works before leaving. It's also covered by Amazon's 30-day price protection so if you see if for less at an authorized dealer, Amazon will refund the difference.
