Best Bluray Player Deals: Panasonic DMP-BD755 Blu-ray: $64.99 Shipped (DMP-BD75)

By Chris Boylan

'Tis the season for movies in high definition, and to make that happen, you need more than just an HDTV.  You also need a high quality high definition source. And the highest quality source you can get is a Blu-ray Disc player.  But those are expensive, particularly the streaming kind, right?  Not anymore.

We've struck an exclusive deal with Panasonic to offer their entry-level network-streaming Blu-ray player, the DMP-BD75 for just $64.99 with free shipping.  This is $35 below the normal price.  But wait, there's more!  The model that's actually being offered is the DMP-BD755, which is identical to the DMP-BD75 but it comes with a free HDMI cable.  If you shop at the major electronics chains, you might think you have to pay $65 (or more!) for the cable alone, but it's not true.  This cable works great, passing full HD 1080p resolution video to any compatible HDTV.

To get this deal, you need to follow this link and provide our exclusive coupon code BPS755 during checkout.  This code brings the price down from $74.99 to $64.99 with free shipping.

Panasonic's DMP-BD755 comes with a free HDMI cable so you'll be ready to rock (in high def) right out of the box.

In terms of features and performance, the DMP-BD75 is anything but entry-level.  It offers 1080p video output for Blu-ray discs but also upconverts standard definition DVDs to 1080p as well so you can make the most of your current movie collection.  It also fully supports the new HD audio formats, Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio, so your movies will sound as good as they look.  And unlike earlier Blu-ray players, this one is actually pretty speedy at loading discs, even those BD-JAVA and BD-Live heavy Blu-ray titles.

Panasonic's 2011 Blu-ray players offer a simpler, more intuitive interface for navigating your various types of media.

For the price, you wouldn't expect to find advanced network streaming features, like Netflix and VUDU, but this player has those too.  It does not include the full VIERA Connect suite of apps, but does offer Napster and CinemaNow streaming in addition to Netflix and VUDU.  The player does not include wireless (WiFi) networking, but we think you'll find a way to run a network cable to it, if you're interested in the internet streaming features.  You can also add on a standard wireless bridge, a wireless gaming adapter, or powerline networking adapters if running a network cable simply isn't feasible.

With the latest version of the Netflix streaming interface, you can search the entire Netflix catalog, browse new releases or view your instant queue.

The sale price and coupon code are live now, and will expire on January 31, 2012 or whenever stock runs out.  At this price, this may be a whole lot sooner than later.
